In a first, CISF felicitates seven retired canines

New Delhi: For the first time, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Tuesday organised a felicitation ceremony for retired canines of CISF Unit in Shastri Park on Tuesday. According to CISF, they organised a ceremony to felicitate the seven canines of CISF unit (DMRC), who retired after completing their successful tenure. The canines were named as Hina (Labrador), Veer (Cocker Spaniels), Kite (Labrador), Jelly (Labrador), Jessy (German Shepherd), Lucy (Labrador) and Lovely (Labrador).

After taking basic training of six months at CISF dog breeding training centre at CISF 5th Reserve Battalion, Ghaziabad, these canines were detailed to perform various essential tasks of keeping DMRC safe and secure from multi-dimensional threats. "It was the first time in the history of CISF Unit (DMRC) that a ceremony was organised on the retirement of canines to honour their dedication and devotion to duties," said CISF in their press statement.

Raghubir Lal, DIG, CISF unit (DMRC) and other senior officers of CISF and DMRC were present at the event.
