NEW DELHI: IAS Association Secretary Manisha Saxena on Tuesday said that Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash was "manhandled" and "mistreated" at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence here on Monday and called it a "planned criminal conspiracy".
"The Association strongly condemns the assault on the Chief Secretary. It is a criminal, cowardly and deplorable act and an assault on the Constitution.
"We stand by our colleagues in Delhi and demand immediate arrest of the perpetrators of such a shameful act," said the association of Indian Administrative Service officers working across the country in its statement. It supported a resolution of the Delhi IAS association and demanded immediate action against the perpetrators involved in the incident.
After meeting LG Anil Baijal, Saxena said that the bureaucrat body has asked Baijal to take strict action.
