Gurugram: In a bid to effectively reuse the horticultural waste generated from city's parks, the district authorities have taken an initiative to recycle it and use it productively.
The campaign is going to start from the three largest and most prominent parks in the city namely Leisure Valley in Sector-29, Botanical garden in Sector-52 and Tau Devi Lal Park in Palam Vihar. The officials hope that the recycled product produced will subsequently be also provided to other parks in the city.
To deal with the challenges of declining green cover in Gurugram, the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) plans to utilise the vacant spaces by developing it into parks. Presently, most of the vacant spaces have been turned into garbage dump yards.
With lack of green spaces and becoming one of the major issues for city residents, MCG has decided to develop new parks by utilising large vacant spaces.
