Head-on collision between bus and truck leaves over 25 injured

Gurugram: Over 25 passengers received serious injuries after a Haryana Roadways bus they were traveling in rammed into a truck at Sultanpur road in the outskirts of Gurugram on Friday morning.

The truck driver has been critically injured as he was trapped in his vehicle after being hit by the bus.

The bus was going from Gurugram to Jhajjar and had around 50 passengers traveling in it.

According to Gurugram Police, the cause for the near-fatal crash was overspeeding by both the bus driver as well as the truck driver.

Ultimately, their fast and rash driving resulted in the two vehicles colliding head-on with each other.

After the incident, the driver and the conductor of the bus escaped from the spot. A case of negligent and rash driving has been registered by the district police against both the drivers.

Sources in the police claimed that though certain passengers received grievous injuries, all the passengers are out of danger. All the injured persons have been admitted at SGT Medical University.
