Gurugram: A major step towards improving the city's dismal public transportation system was taken on Sunday when Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar flagged off 23 inter-city buses in Gurugram on Sunday morning.
Named Gurugraman (arrival to Gurugram), the state-of-the-art bus service system will have many firsts; the buses will have e-ticketing services, GPS trackers, women drivers and various other novel facilities, which will be introduce and managed by Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA).
GMDA officials said that more buses will be introduced in phases and the routes of these buses have been designed by the Authority after a survey among the city residents.
Khattar also took a ride in one of the buses, all the way to HUDA City Centre.
