Gym trainer arrested for killing his father in Dwarka

New Delhi: A 27-year-old gym trainer was arrested for killing his father in Dwarka district. Police said that during interrogation accused claimed that his father was very abusive.

Police identified the accused as Amit, a resident of Jafarpur Kalan. On August 27, an information was received at the police station that one person has been shot in village Khera Dabur.

The deceased was identified as Ashok Kumar (52). It was ascertained that his son had shot him dead on some domestic issues.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Anto Alphonse said that raids were conducted at several places in Haryana/Rajasthan/UP and Delhi to trace the accused. On September 3, Kumar was arrested from Surheda Mod. The arrest was made by special staff team under Inspector Naveen Kumar.

On interrogation, Kumar stated that his father had lost his right hand a few years back in an accident. His father had not been working after amputation of his hand and mostly stayed at home.

"The accused claims that his father was very abusive, even in front of his children and women of the family and often curse the whole family. This abusive routine of the deceased lead to arguments daily in the family," police said.

On August 27 deceased confronted the accused on some domestic issue but accused avoided and did not give much attention. It irked the deceased and he started abusing and cursing the accused and his minor daughters. Accused, took out the pistol and shot his father when he was playing cards with his friends in the neighbourhood.

"He was planning to meet some friend on September 3 to arrange for some money so that he could escape to Nepal," police said.
