Gurugram: Nearly 30 kilometres from Gurugram city centre and more than fifty kilometres away from the national capital, ITC Grand Bharat seems to have become the favourite destination from preventing the MLA's from being poached.

At present, reportedly, there are 106 MLA's from Madhya Pradesh, who are supposed to be siding with BJP, staying at the resort. Just a few days ago four MLA's were again kept at the resort. In the past, it was also used to keep the MLAs who had come from Karnataka.

Spread in an area of 1.2 square kilometres, the resort is less than six years old and has gained immense popularity because of the 27 hole golf course that has been developed by Jack Nicklaus. The golf course has become a popular weekend getaway for the South Korean and Japanese corporates who come to the area for

playing the game. There are also other golf courses mostly nine holes that have come up in the area.

The locals in the area complain that there is still no development around the area and the area is now being developed for the rich. "There may be a 5-star hotel and a couple of golf courses and farmhouses that would have come up in the recent years but for the local population no effort has been made by the government agencies to develop better

social infrastructure," said Lekhi Ram.
