Gurugram: A person working at a petrol pump located in Mehrauli-Gurugram road was stabbed by unidentified men on Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred when Raju the victim was carrying Rs eight lakh to the bank for getting it deposited. Not only were the unidentified assailants able to attack him with a knife they were also able to successfully take away the huge amounts of money that he was carrying.

The victim has been admitted to the nearby hospital where he is being treated. Raju belongs from Churu Rajasthan and had been working in Gurugram for more than five years.

In what can be considered as a major embarrassment for law enforcement officials the incident occurred close to the residence of Gurugram Member of Parliament Rao Inderjit Singh.

The law enforcement officials indicate that the way how the entire incident was carried out seemed that it was not a reactionary attack but a well-planned strike.

Investigators in the case said that the attackers knew that at what time Raju would go to the bank for depositing the cash.

"We are trying to retrieve the CCTV images for knowing who the attackers were. As of now, it seems that there were three persons who had come on the bike and carried out the crime. We are waiting for the victim to fully recover so that he can provide us with vital leads," said an official from Gurugram police.

The incident follows a shooting incident where a 28-year-old year who works as a cash operator in a telecom company was shot in the broad daylight in Sector-14.
