New Delhi: A massive search launched by five teams of Kirti Nagar police station finally reunited 3-year-old with her mother who went missing for nearly 12 hours from the slums in West Delhi area on Sunday. Police claimed she was traced near Mayapuri area. And the kid's relatives were traced by using loud hailers, meetings, photograph.
Police claimed that around 6 am the minor went missing and after 12 hours the child was reunited with her parents in the police station. "The areas nearby the slums where the girl lives has a railway track, forest and crowded places so we formed five teams consisting of three police personnel including women for the purpose," said the police officer.
A police team was guarding the track to check whether the girl may come. The three police personnel were searching in the forest whereas and another team was deployed in the market areas. The investigating agency also put CCTV footages of the area under the check.
The police team found a girl abandoned near Mayapuri area but she was not able to speak properly about her whereabouts. It was a tough task for the investigating agency so they started using loud hailers where the information of the minor was given. They also held meetings with local residents and photographs were shown. Finally, her parents were traced and it was the same victim who went missing. DCP (West) Monika Bharadwaj claimed that Rani was traced and handed over to parents after a massive manhunt.
