Greater Noida: Following an alleged rape case with a three and a-half-year-old girl by the life guard of the swimming pool in a renowned private school of Greater Noida, the Gautam Buddh Nagar district magistrate on Sunday formed a committee to probe the matter and present their report within
15 days.
According to a senior officer of district administration, a team of five members has been formed by BN Singh, the District Magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar, in which Additional District Magistrate, Chief Medical Officer, District Education Officer, ARTO, District fire officer are included.
"The committee is assigned the job to check the security of the students, CCTV cameras installed by the school management and make sure that the CCTV cameras are installed under the guidelines of CBSE and state government rule. Strict actions will be taken against the school if anything is found wrong," said Singh. Meanwhile, the school has shockingly backed the accused and claimed that there was no evidence against him. The school's principal said while she has not seen CCTV footage from the day herself, a committee of teachers and the police have.
"We found there was no conclusive evidence that the lifeguard has performed any act which he is being accused of," she said.
On Thursday, a three and a-half-year-old girl was allegedly raped by life guard inside the school premises of a private school in Greater Noida. The incident came to light after the girl complained to her parents about pain in the abdomen area.
Her parents took her to a private hospital where doctors confirmed sexual assault. The medical report stated that her hymen was torn.
However police registered an FIR on Friday evening upon the complaint being received and arrested the accused. The accused has been identified as Chandi Das, a life guard.
