GDA clears dozens of infrastructure projects

Ghaziabad: The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) on Tuesday sanctioned around three dozen of new infrastructural development proposals which include freezing the price rate for Madhuban-Bapudham Housing Scheme, land use change for two unauthorised slaughter houses as Al-Nafas and National Agro Food located in Dasna area, minor changing in the layout of Kaushambi Housing Scheme and others.
The GDA also decided to clear the position of double allotment issue. "There are total 200 issues of double allotment. Ninety-seven out of 200 issues have been settled while 103 issues are in process to settle" said Dr. Prabhat Kumar, Chairman, GDA.
Acting strict on the defaulting builders the board also decided to confiscate bank guarantee of builders who have not paid dues of authority. Apart from these there were several decisions which were left pending for further consideration in the next meeting.
"The GDA is going to send Detailed Project Report (DPR) to UP government for Madhuban Sport City, Solid Waste Plant in Indirapuram. These projects are at first stage. After getting adviser report, further action will be taken." said Ritu Maheshwari, Chairperson, GDA.
The decisions were taken in 149th board meeting held in GDA conference hall on Tuesday.
Apart from these, projects worth Rs 190.10 crore were sanctioned in the meeting of 'Avesthapna Nidhi' held on the same day in GDA. There are sanctioned 20 crore rupees to reform Hindon Bridge, 20 crore rupees were sanctioned for Multi level mechanized car parking at RDC and 50 crore rupees were sanctioned for laying underground power lines and cables across the district.
"Also the board sanctioned amount for renovation of all the four historical gates as Dasna Gate, Jawahar Gate, Sihani Gate and Delhi Gate. The Dhobighat ROB, signal free at Rajnagar Extension crossing, beautification of Mohan Nagar Crossing and many others proposals are sanctioned in meeting" added Maheshwari.
The secretary of GDA Ravinder Godbole, Chief Engineer V. N Singh, City Commissioner of Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam CP Singh, and many senior authority officials were present in the meeting.
