Father-son duo killed as car collides with SUV in Jaitpur

New Delhi: A father-son duo died in a horrific road accident on Wednesday, after their car collided with an SUV in Delhi's Jaitpur area. 
The deceased were identified as Trilok Chand (50) and Vikas Tiwari (21), cops said.
Police said six others were injured in the car crash, and they suspect that both cars were over-speeding.
The accident took place at around 2 am, when Chand and six of his family members were returning in their Maruti Celerio from a wedding ceremony.
Immediately after the accident was reported, an ERV reached the spot and took all the injured to the hospital.
The collision was so powerful that both vehicles were mangled beyond recognition.
The injured persons in the Celerio car have been identified as Shubham (22), Vikas Tiwari (21), Abhay Tiwari (19), Sachin Tiwari, Neha (18), Trilok Nath (55), Rohit Tiwari, (19), Santosh Tiwari (19) and Sachin (22), all residents of Trilokpuri.
Meanwhile, injured occupants of the SUV were identified as, Hariom (25) and Kuldeep (25), both residents of Khedipul, Faridabad.
"An ERV from Jaitpur police station was patrolling on the Agra Canal road, when they saw the incident. Theyrescued the injured persons, who were caught inside the damaged vehicles. The father and son were declared brought dead at Apollo Hospital. Legal action is being taken under sections 279, 337 and 304A of IPC and investigation taken up" said DCP South East Chinmoy Biswal.
