EOW nabs pvt firm director for duping over 500 people

New Delhi: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police has arrested a director of a private company for cheating more than 500 people through various fraud schemes.

Police identified the accused as Dharmender who lives in Tri Nagar. He was managing director of BLS Realty Infra India Ltd.

Additional Commissioner of Police (EOW) OP Mishra told Millennium Post that the accused raised public money through various schemes like FDs, RDs and Kishan Vikash Patra.

"More than 500 to 600 people are victims in the case. He had fled from Delhi after closing the registered office," said Additional CP.

In August, EOW has registered a case against a private company for cheating.

The complainant in the case alleged that he was duped on the pretext of earning profit by investing in various schemes of the private

firm.

According to police, a case was registered on the statement of one Daya who lives in Kirti Nagar Delhi against BLS Realty Infra India Ltd, BLS Cooperation Credit Society and officials including directors.

"Complainant has alleged that the company has raise deposits in various schemes like fixed deposit (FDs), Recurring Deposit (RDs), Daily Plan etc. Complainant deposited Rs 1,68,000 in RDs and Kishan Patra since Dec 2016 and after maturity, his money was not returned," police

said.

The investigating further added that the complainant alleged that there are 600 to 700 victims who deposited money in the various schemes of the alleged company besides him. The director of the company has fled after closing the registered office at Anand Nagar in Inderok.
