Delhi Police sub-inspector caught red-handed with bribe

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a sub-inspector of Delhi Police posted at Khajuri Khas police station for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh from a complainant.
According to the investigation agency, a case was registered against the sub-inspector under section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 on a the basis complaint.
The complainant claimed that his son had been arrested in a case by the sub-inspector.
"He further alleged that the complainant went to Khajuri Khas police station, where the accused demanded a bribe of Rs 4,00,000 from the complainant to help his son from the case being investigated by him," said a CBI official.
A trap was laid and the accused was caught while accepting the bribe.
