A dreaded criminal and gangster, wanted in cold-blooded murder cases, has been arrested by Delhi Police's Special Cell on Thursday.
Police had declared Rs 1 lakh reward for the criminal Naveen Khatri, 32, a resident of Narela. He was also wanted in a murder case in his area itself.
Apart from this case, Khatri had played a pivotal role in the 'Triple Murder Case' of Miyanwali Nagar in Delhi in which Bhupender Singh alias Monu Dariyapur, ASI Vijay Kumar (PSO) and Arun Shastri were killed, and two persons were injured.
The Special Cell has constantly been working on leads to arrest all the gangsters, involved in this sensational case from over last one month.
"Khatri was also involved in the Delhi Police Constable's Murder Case on January 17, 2015, in Narela. A Delhi Police constable Jitender Khatri was gunned down by one Samunder Khatri and Naveen Khatri," said Sanjeev Yadav, DCP Special Cell.
He was also involved in firing in the office of a cable operator.
In July 2016, Chander Kishore, a resident of Rani Bagh here reported that Khatri came in the office of Den Cable. A person entered the office and asked about the owner of Cable, Madan.
The moment he replied that he is not present in the office, he whipped out his pistol and fired twice on the office wall introducing himself to be as Sonu Dariyapur. Khatri was nabbed after specific inputs were received about his whereabouts on June 6.
"On sustained interrogation, he confessed to being involved in daredevil acts and involvements in various such cases. He was an active member of Samunder Khatri Gang," said Sanjeev Yadav, DCP Special Cell.
