NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police has arrested three robbers involved in the heist of 50 thousand rupees from a tobacco merchant in Dwarka area of Delhi.
The three arrested have been identified as Ankit Bhalla aged about 28 years, resident of Chanakya Place, Part-1, New Delhi Kuldeep Dhull, 20 years a resident of Partap Garden, Uttam Nagar and Noor Alam aged 25 years, a resident of Mahavir Enclave in Dabri.
The incident happened on July 20 at 4:55 pm, a PCR call was received at Dabri that some boys took away Rs 50,000 from a shop in Bindapur Extension.
Police rushed to the spot where one person reported that he runs a wholesale shop of the material of tobacco products. He and his brother were present at their shop, when two boys came on Pulsar motorcycle at about 4:45 pm and walked into and showed them Katta type of weapon and took out Rs.50,000/- from the shop.
Police teams were constituted and CCTV footages of the shop and the vicinity taken and analysed at length. In CCTV footages, two boys were seen on with face.
However, sometime later police got secret information that a criminal who is involved in the said case of robbing Rs 50,000 from the shopkeeper on would come to Pankha Road at about 4 pm.
A trap was laid at Pankha Road. At about 4:30 pm, one person came and the team immediately apprehended him who was identified as Ankit Bhalla, age 28 years.
During interrogation, he confessed about his involvement in the said robbery along with his associate one Kuldeep Dhull.
The incessant effort of the team yielded result and team got the information about the co-accused Noor Alam who was also arrested.
