Noida: A day after police busted an illegally organised rave party from a farm house in sector 135 of Noida, the Gautam Buddh Nagar District administration came into action and sealed 11 other farm houses in Nagla Nagli village near sector 135, on Monday.
Prasunn Dwivedi, sub-divisional Magistrate (SDM), Gautam Buddh Nagar told Millennium Post that these farm houses were already sealed around an year ago.
"A drive was carried out against illegally run farm houses in Nagla Nagli village and the team of officials seized 11 farm houses. It was found that these farm houses were also seized around an year ago after they were found flouting NGT norms and other guidelines," said Dwivedi. The officer further said similar drives will be carried out in the future also.
"We will ensure that such actions will be taken against other farm houses as well. A list is being prepared so that raids can be made collectively and actions can be initiated," added Dwivedi.
The Gautam Buddh Nagar police busted an illegally hosted rave party from a farm house in sector 135 area on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. Police seized a large stock of illegal liquor while around 192 youths including the farm owner and organisers of the party were arrested by police.
On Monday, these 192 persons failed to get bail from the Surajpur court as the court observed a lawyers strike. All the persons are kept in Luksar jail of Greater Noida while the court is likely to hear the bail plea on Tuesday.
Cops said that the youths who attended the party were likely to be released on Monday however due to a strike called by the lawyers association, it got delayed till Tuesday while the organizers will have to stay in police remand before getting released.
"The bail plea for the arrested accused was first cancelled on Sunday itself as we had raised an objection over it, later on Monday the plea could not get filed because the court observed a strike of lawyers. Now, they will remain locked up till tuesday when the court is most likely to hear the application for bail," a senior police officer said.
