New Delhi: The 10 year old daughter was waiting for deceased Rajiv to come back home from his work to eat dinner together, but her wish was not fulfilled. Instead she received the news about the death of her father. The family had no clue about how they will survive after losing their only breadwinner. The minor daughter was sitting with her three sisters in the lap of their mother who was inconsolable.
"I called him around 7 PM on Thursday and told him to bring some vegetables. Around 8 pm, I told my elder daughter to eat dinner. She wanted to eat with her father for which she decided to wait," said Poonam. The family members claimed that he had not received his salary and they live in a rented accommodation. "My husband was the only earning member in the family," said Poonam. She further stated that they came to know about the death several hours later. "Why did the police inform me late and even no one from the petrol pump came to check us," added the wife.
The family belongs to Faridabad and is currently living in Lalbagh area of North West Delhi. Sisters of the deceased, Vishna and Seema were also at the spot and were crying. For the sisters, it was a tragic situation to lose Rajiv just before the festival of 'Rakhi'. The other deceased, Bittu, also had small children and lived in rented accommodation in the same area. The police may write to the concerned ministry to know the protocol regarding the cleaning of tank.
