New Delhi: Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Subhash Chopra on Sunday was detained along with many party leaders, as they sat on protest outside Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's Civil Lines residence against the "emergency level" pollution in the city.

Thousands of Congress workers, held a demonstration outside the residence alleging that the severe pollution in Delhi is due to the inaction and failure of the current state government, BJP at the Centre and in the Municipal Corporations of Delhi. "Delhi has become a gas chamber, and people dread to come out of their homes," Chopra said during the sit-in outside Kejriwal's residence.
