NEW DELHI: As per the Services department, on Wednesday, all principal secretaries attended meetings with ministers of their concerned department at the Delhi Secretariat.
However, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is yet to have a meeting with the IAS Officers Association, as was directed by Lieutenant Gover Anil Baijal in his letter to the CM on Tuesday.
Kejriwal is likely to fly to Bengaluru on Thursday to join a 10-day naturopathy course, officials said, after which the meeting will be held.
According to officials at the CM office, Kejriwal has not been keeping well after ending the nine-day long sit-in at the LG office. During the protest, his blood sugar levels had increased and even insulin injections were not working on him.
The LG had, on Tuesday, written to Kejriwal asking him to meet the IAS officers 'urgently' to address their concerns.
The IAS Association had said that they were awaiting a formal communication for a meeting with Kejriwal.
"In the context of CM's assurance, we await formal communication for a meeting with him in the Delhi Secretariat. We reiterate that we continue to be at work," the IAS AGUMUT Association had tweeted.
After the sit-in protest by the Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues was called off on Tuesday, all principal secretaries and secretaries attended meeting with the concerned ministers – including Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, PWD minister Satyender Jain, Development minister Gopal Rai, Environment minister Imran Hussain and Transport minister Kailash Gehlot – on Wednesday.
Jain was busy holding meetings with the Power, Urban Development, Health and public work departments. The principal secretaries of power and PWD were present in the meetings.
Similarly, Rai, who also oversees the Irrigation and Flood Control Department, and Hussain conducted their meeting in the Secretariat.
The Chief Hinister has attended naturopathy treatment in Bengaluru in the past for chronic cough problem.
He was due to attend the course there last month itself, officials at the CM office said.
Sisodia said the sugar levels were "troubling" Kejriwal and he had a prior programme to join the naturopathy course.
During the sit-in at the LG office, Kejriwal had assured IAS officers of their "safety", calling them as part of a family.
The IAS officers had been boycotting a meeting with ministers, since the alleged attack on chief secretary Anshu Prakash at Kejriwal's residence in February.
The officers had gone public earlier this week to express apprehensions about their safety, after which Kejriwal assured them of their safety and dignity, and asked them to end their "strike" and start meeting the ministers.
