New Delhi: CISF personnel restored a lady's purse containing cash of more than Rs 1 lakh and valuables to the rightful owner at Laxmi Nagar Metro Station. According to the CISF, on November 27 their duty personnel of Laxmi Nagar metro station noticed an unclaimed purse lying on the output roller of the X-BIS machine. He asked the nearby passengers but no one came forward to claim the purse. Immediately, the purse was checked from a security point of view and after ascertaining that there was no dangerous or hazardous item inside the purse, it was opened in presence of the station controller.
The CISF further claimed that on opening the purse, cash amounting to Rs 1,03,420 and some valuables were found inside. Later a woman passenger identified as Anjali Sharma came to the metro station and asked about her purse. She informed that after the security check, she forgot to pick her purse from the output roller of the x-ray machine. She
was brought to the station controller's room and after proper verification, the purse was returned to her.
