New Delhi: One of the CCTV cameras installed in the Vasant Vihar area had captured a suspect who might be involved in the triple murder case reported from South West Delhi. Investigators in the case said that they have rounded up a few suspects for questioning in the case.
Police sources said that on the day of the incident, a suspect was seen in the Vasant Vihar area. Reports were also coming that the suspect was wearing a helmet which is being probed by the investigating agency.
The Delhi Police also scanned call details record (CDR) of known persons of the deceased in the triple murder case reported from Vasant Vihar area of South West Delhi.
Joint Commissioner of Police (New Delhi range) Anand Mohan said that they have not made any arrest in the case so far.
"We are verifying persons one by one. All angles being probed," said Anand Mohan.
When asked whether they have questioned any close person of deceased maid, the Joint CP said, "they are doing it."
He further added that they are close in cracking the case.
Sources said that police have identified few phone numbers and the analysis is being made on the area where they were active.
The investigating agency also scanning the call records of the last few days.
The Delhi Police have questioned several persons including known persons of the deceased maid Khushbu.
"Around 5 person were questioned for several hours in the case," sources said.
The probe is on the angle whether the maid (Khushbu), may have unknowingly let a 'friend' or a 'known person' inside the house without realising that her act could prove fatal.
The city police also conducted raids at several places in Delhi for getting clues in the case.
On Sunday morning, the incident came to light and the bodies of elderly couple Vishnu Mathur, Shashi Mathur and their maid Khushboo Nautiyaal were found inside an apartment.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West) Devinder Arya said that prima facie it seems nothing has been robbed.
"They (deceased) were stabbed," said DCP Arya.
The elderly citizen's lived on the first floor of the house.
The neighbours, living close to the deceased senior citizens' apartment, said that they did not hear any noise from the deceased house late night on Saturday.
According to Vasant Enclave residents, the family had shifted 15-20 years back in the area.
