Boy kidnapped and murdered for ransom

New Delhi: A 17-year-old boy was kidnapped and killed in North East Delhi's Nand Nagri area. Police claimed that they have arrested five persons in the case which includes one of the deceased's relatives who was the main conspirator in the case. Police claimed that the main accused, after kidnapping the boy, remained in the deceased's house for giving them fake sympathy and also to know the police investigation. When the police were informed about the incident the accused ordered his associates to kill the boy.
According to police on May 29 at around 10:48 pm, a PCR call was received that some unknown person had kidnapped a 17-year-old boy and had demanded a ransom of one crore rupees. "The complainant, a resident of Nand Nagri, stated that his son had gone to a nearby park in the evening and did not return back, after which, the ransom call was received. A case under section 364A IPC was registered at Nand Nagri police station and the investigation was taken up," said the police officer.
Joint teams of North East district police and Crime Branch undertook the investigation and multiple teams were formed to trace the boy and nab the accused.
Further joint operations were carried out across several states, five kidnappers were identified and arrested whose names were revealed as Pankaj (victim's cousin), Mursaleem, Shoaib, Salman and Naseemuddin.
Police claimed that upon sustained interrogation, the kidnappers revealed that they had allegedly killed the boy and dumped him in Muradnagar canal after giving him an intoxicating drink shortly after the kidnapping.
