Gurugram: Praveen who is employed in a nightclub in Sector -29 Gurugram was attacked by a group of six people and even shot on the leg. The incident occurred on Wednesday night when he had finished his shift.

According to the police, the case has been registered against Sumit who earlier used to work as a bouncer in the same nightclub where Praveen worked. According to the police, Sumit was enraged by the fact that he was removed from the job of the bouncer and the job was given to Praveen.

According to police officials, Sumit felt that it was Praveen who got him out of the job and wanted to take the revenge from the person who he felt had rendered him unemployed. Therefore, he along with a group laid a plan to lynch Praveen to death, however, a stiff resistance by the victim resulted in him getting shot in the leg. As of now, no arrests have been made in the case.

"We have identified the culprits and we will get hold of them soon. We are waiting for the victim to recover fully so that he can provide us with more leads. Our investigations have also revealed that the gun which was used in the crime was also illegal," said a senior police official from Gurugram police.

Incidents of bouncers indulging in violent fights are not a new phenomenon in Gurugram. In June also, there was a major tiff between two bouncers on a frivolous issue that resulted in one shooting another in a fit of rage. Luckily, there was no casualty in the case.
