Body found on railway track

New Delhi: An unidentified body of the man was found on the railway track in Anand Vihar area on Monday. Police have started their investigation to search his identity. Police said that a team was rushed to the spot after a body of a man was found on track with both the legs chopped.

In the initial investigation, it was found that the deceased was in the age group of 30-35 years. During the investigation, police have found nothing which could help in establishing the identity of the deceased. "We suspect he can be a beggar. A search to establish the identity was intensified," said Delhi Police officer. The probe is underway to ascertain the reasons behind the death. "The investigation is on from all angles including he might be hit by the train while crossing the tracks," police said.

In January only, 73 persons died in train accidents across railway stations in Delhi.
