NEW DELHI: After the Delhi Police registered an FIR under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) for sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl allegedly by her classmate, the Delhi Police said that both the children have undergone counseling by eminent Psychologists.
In a rare case where a 4 year old boy has been accused of assaulting his girl classmate, the cops had no option but to register a case after the girl's
mother approached South West district police.
The cops immediately initiated action and both the girl and the boy were counseled.
"The Counseling was done by a prominent psychologist of the child. We are doing our best considering the seriousness of the case.
"Also, we will scan the CCTV cameras to know any negligence on the part of the school as well. Our investigation is on," said a senior police officer.
The matter came to light when the girl child complained of pain in the genitals and her mother noticed that she is uneasy and has been allegedly sexually assaulted.
It was then that the mother decided to approach police and lodge a formal complaint in the matter.
Since the matter involves both Kindergarten students the police is very cautious in the case.
