New Delhi: Incumbent Municipal Councillor Suman Tinku Rajora from Ward No. 50 (Mangolpuri B) formally rejoined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday after a brief tenure with the BJP.

She was welcomed back by AAP Delhi state president Saurabh Bhardwaj and MCD Leader of Opposition Ankush Narang, who described her return as “a matter of great happiness.” She and her husband were ceremonially inducted back into the party with the traditional AAP cap and scarf.

Rajora, who joined the BJP a few months ago, called the switch “the biggest mistake” of her life and accused the party of betraying Delhi’s poor by failing to uphold its promises to slum dwellers. She said witnessing the evictions and hardships faced by the poor under BJP leadership prompted her return to AAP. “I realised I had made a terrible mistake,” she said.
