After 20 yrs on the run, 53-yr-old nabbed in Rajasthan

NEW DELHI: A 53-year-old man having a criminal history of more than 20 years was arrested from Savai Madhopur, Rajasthan after a 12-hour police operation.
During the chase, the accused had changed several hideouts when he was getting information that the police is chasing him.
The accused identified as Kundu Swami, resident of Wazirpur, was carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 and who was a proclaimed offender, wanted in a murder case. He was doing crime from the year 1985.
On November 21 the Special Task Force (STF) team received some information regarding the whereabouts of the accused persons and arrested one accused Narayan from Nala Pusta Road, near Bhalaswa landfill. After interrogating Narayan and with the help of informer, specific information was received regarding the whereabouts of the main perpetrator Kanduswamy in Sawai Madhopur (Rajasthan).
"The team went to Rajasthan when the accused was changing its hideouts several times but we were able to arrest him," said a senior police official.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), G Ram Gopal Naik stated that during interrogation, the arrested accused revealed that he ran away with his son just after that incident. When police reached their house to search and arrest them after the incident, illicit liquor was also found in his house
"They both have been hiding since then in different parts of UP, Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab. They started dealing in cattle trading in UP, Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab. They did not stay at any one place but kept on changing their location," said the DCP.
