"During the riot, my brother Nawed and I, carried many patients who had been badly bruised with rods and severely burnt and others who had bullet or head injuries, to GTB and LNJP hospitals."

Till the areas that the Alam brothers could access they carried injured people, a lot of them had been stabbed, to near by hospitals. The proud ambulance owner said, "Past 5 days I have been carrying all basic essentials like rice, flour, grams and clothes in my ambulance from my hometown in UP to Mustafabad and other camps in North East Delhi. In a day we make 10 to 12 rounds serving people of all communities." Parvez works in the fields with his parents and his brother. His wife looks after their daughter who has just begun attending school. "The ambulance is mine and the service is for free, we do not charge for it throughout the year," adds Parvez.
