78-yr-old found murdered in West Delhi

New Delhi: A 78 years old man was murdered in her residence in West Delhi's Rajouri Garden area on Tuesday. Police claimed that the entry of the accused seems to be friendly.
Deputy Commissioner of Police ( West) Vijay Kumar claimed that the incident came to light on Tuesday evening when they received a PCR call on 7.28 PM regarding the murder of a senior citizen by slitting the throat. "On reaching the spot it was found one Jugal Kishore who lived on the second floor was murdered. He lives with his wife Shashi having three children who were living separately," said the DCP adding that the murder was discovered by his wife who had gone to buy vegetable from the market
Police claimed that the deceased had retired from CPWD department in Chandigarh. During the investigation, police team found that the entry of the accused was friendly and few household articles and almirahs found to be touched. "We are probing the case from all angles which include robbery and personal enmity," said a police officer.
According to Delhi Police data around 122 cases related to crime against senior citizens were reported in the city which included 24 cases of murder of senior citizens were reported whereas three cases of attempt to murder and 59 cases of robbery took place in the year 2017. Delhi Police claimed to solved 91 criminal cases which include 21 cases of murder whereas three cases of attempt to murder and 40 cases of the robbery were worked out.
Last year witnessed several murder cases which include a murder of senior citizen in Lajpat Nagar area on July. In the case, the arrest was made by Crime Branch of Delhi Police. In September, a 62-year-old handicapped woman was murdered after she was hit with a wooden plank.
