New Delhi: Delhi Police on Tuesday said that more than 700 kg banned firecrackers were seized from a flour mill in Shahdara. Police have arrested one Vijay Aggarwal in the case. DCP (Shahdara) Amit Sharma said that they have briefed their staff to prevent the sale of Illegal and banned firecrackers in the area of Shahdara district."A police team developed information that banned firecrackers are being stocked at a flour mill shop in the area of Radhey Sham Park, Jagatpuri," DCP Shahdara. The team raided the premises where banned firecrackers were found in large quantity. Aggarwal was arrested under the appropriate section of the explosive act. "In greed to earn quick money, he stocked the firecrackers to sell during forthcoming festival season. He bought these firecrackers from different parts of western UP and Haryana," said DCP Sharma adding that they are further probing the case. A team headed by inspector Sunil, comprising of ASI Anoop, HC Lokender solved the case.
