New Delhi: Delhi's Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot on Sunday inaugurated the placement of new wires that were dangling at the homes of people in Delhi's Najafgarh area.
The wires as old as 70-year-old created dangerous situation as they were dangled and created nuisance for the people living in the vicinity. Gahlot had ordered to replace the wires in the area, work of which has already been started.
"70-year-old wires worth 11000 walts of electricity created dangerous situations in New Roshan Pura area. A lot of lives were lost due to these wires that spread across the houses," said a tweet by AAP. An order was passed after which the work to remove old wires has been started.
