Greater Noida: Around six persons were injured after two tourist buses collided with each other near Galgotias university on the Yamuna Expressway in Dankaur area of Greater Noida on early Sunday morning.
Cops said that the incident officer due to low visibility on the e-way because of dense fog.
According to police, the incident occurred on early Sunday morning when two tourist buses travelling from Agra towards Noida collided with each other.
"As visibility on the e-way was low on Sunday morning, the driver failed to notice the bus which had taken a wrong turn and rammed into it. A Mahindra TUV car coming from behind also hit the buses from behind, resulting in blockade," said police.
Rajesh Kumar Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-III), Gautam Buddh Nagar said that all the injured are safe and have been admitted to Kailash hospital.
"A passerby conveyed information to police and a team from Dankaur police station along with highway patrolling unit rushed to the spot. Three vehicles including two tourist bus and a SUV car were affected in the road mishap. Around six persons were injured in the accident who were rushed to nearby Kailash hospital in Greater Noida where doctors stated their condition to be stable," said Singh.
A senior police officer said that the six injured are young body builders and were returning from Firozabad after taking park in a body building competition.
In another similar incident at the Eastern Peripheral Expressway on early Sunday morning, around eight vehicles piled up into each other at the e-way leaving two persons with minor injuries.
