Greater Noida: A 40-year-old man has been arrested by police for allegedly raping his minor daughter in Dadri area of Greater Noida. Police said that the incident was reported by her mother, following which a complaint was registered and arrest was made.
According to the complaint, the accused man allegedly raped his 13-year-old daughter on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday after he forcefully took her to an isolated place near the house when the mother was asleep, said police officials.
The complaint further stated that the man often used to quarrel and thrash his wife for no reason. The couple also had a fight with the each other on the night of the incident.
Accordigng to Police, even the victim has claimed that she was raped by her father.
"Based on victim's claims and the complaint lodged by her mother, we have booked the accused under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 376 (rape) and provisions of Protection of Child against Sexual Offence (POCSO) Act. He was arrested on Monday and has been sent to the jail after producing before the court" said Ram Sen Singh, Station House Officer (SHO), Dadri police station.
The officer added that the girl has been sent for the medical examination while further investigation is on.
Earlier on Saturday, a 35-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his 12-years-old daughter, on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, in Phase-3 police station area of Noida. Police said that the accused raped his daughter while his wife and two sons were sleeping in the same room. The matter came to light when victim's mother noticed her private part was bleeding after which she approached the police.
