389 vacant posts for ex-Armymen in Ggn police

Gurugram: The Gurugram police has officially mentioned that there are 389 posts that are vacant for the ex-Armyman that will be used as special police officers. The age limit of the retired officers should be 25 to 50. In the past, there have been various ex-Army officers who have expressed interest in these posts. According to Gurugram police in the 1,500 posts for such officils over 1,100 have already been filled. Most of these officials besides being used for patrolling are also used to inspect the Bhondsi prison. These officials are also being used to manage the traffic. There are over 900 traffic cops in which these SPO's also have played a crucial role in increasing the strength.

With challenges of rising crimes and traffic jams, the Haryana government has been continuously focussing on increasing the number of traffic cops and the police stations. In just one year, there have been over 500 traffic cops that have been inducted in the Gurugram police. Moreover, most of the retired Army officers who have taken premature retirement are also being encouraged to be regional security officers RSO's. The number of police stations has been increased to 36.
