3 held in murder case

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Monday said that they have arrested three persons in a murder case in Vikaspuri area of West Delhi.

Police claimed that an argument was going on between two neighbours in which one of the accused attacked a man with a knife which led to his death.

According to police, on August 25, one Karan was slapped by his neighbour identified as Lekh Mohd during an argument. One Sarvesh, father of Karan called his relatives.

"At about 10 pm, a quarrel ensued between both the families. Rahul relative of Sarvesh stabbed a knife on the neck of the deceased identified as Mohammad Riyaz Ansari. He was taken to the nearby hospital by his brother Siraj, where he was declared brought dead," police said.

A case under sections 302/452/34 of IPC registered at Vikas Puri police station on the statement of Siraj Ansari brother of deceased Mohammad Riyaz Ansari and investigation took up. The deceased was 18 years old and lived in Keshopur village.

Deputy Commissioner of Police said that after investigation they have arrested Shiv Kumar (22), Rekha (27) and Sarvesh (50). Four persons in the case are absconding while efforts are being made to arrest them.

Delhi Police also claimed that they have not received any complaint of molestation.

"The deceased's family members alleged that the accused was forcing one of their girls for friendship. It led to an argument. The investigation is going on from all angles," police said.
