NEW DELHI: A 24-year-old man was stabbed to death in south Delhi's Dakshinpuri late Tuesday night, with Delhi Police stating that the young man was called by his neighbours who murdered him after an argument in a nearby park.
Police said they received a PCR call around 12.30 am on Tuesday night and the caller informed that near 12/143, Dakshinpuri, a boy was lying on the road, bleeding from a stab injury in the stomach.
It was later found that the injured boy, Mohit, was a resident of Dakshinpuri.
He was then taken to AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he was declared brought dead.
The police said that the family members of the victim alleged that a neighbour Himanshu had called him late at night and, after some time, he was found injured in the nearby park.
They alleged that Himanshu, his brother Rahul, along with one Arvind and one Ankush killed Mohit.
"Local inquiry has been conducted and two of the accused Arvind, 24, and Ankush, 19, have been apprehended. They revealed that Rahul had some personal problem with Arvind as Arvind had borrowed money from Kailash, Mohit's elder brother, and did not return it," Romil Baaniya, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), said on Wednesday.
Cops further said that they all used to drink together and known each other for last 10-12 years.
During the scuffle with Mohit, Arvind received injuries on his fingers and ankle, which was a vital clue. A case under sections 302 and 34 of the IPC has been registered.
Arvind and Ankush were arrested within 24 hours, while Rahul and Himanshu are absconding.
Local inquiries revealed the involvement of one Nadal in the murder. Police have made several teams to apprehend the remaining accused.
