Noida: The bodies of two teenaged real sisters were found hanging form a tree in Barola Village under sector 49 in Noida on Tuesday morning, police said.
According to police, the sisters aged 18 and 14 and were identified as Laxmi and Nisha. The younger sister was studying in a school while the elder one was working in a residential society. Their family members are suspecting the alleged involvement of their relatives, Ravi, Rishi, Billoo and Rohit behind the crime as they often used to torture the deceased," he added.
"Ravi and his family have murdered our daughters and have made it to look like a suicide. Ravi was annoyed as our family had persuaded a woman, to leave him, who he brought from Mumbai and intended to marry, keeping in mind his bad habits. We have never thought that they will kill them this way," said victim's mother.
Police said the incident was reported by a villager when he went for nature call at a drain near the tree early in the morning. "The police received information about the sisters on Tuesday morning. A police team reached the spot and pulled down the bodies that were sent for post-mortem to ascertain whether they were sexually assaulted or not. However, no suicide note has been found from the spot," said Arun Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Police, Noida. "Prima facie, it appears to be a case of suicide. Apart from neck injury, no other injury marks were present on the bodies. However, we are not ruling out the possibility of other aspects including murder and honour killing but actual reason behind the death can only be ascertained after police investigations. We will register a case and will begin investigations after receiving complaint from victim's family" added Singh.
The deceased belonged to poor family and had been living in Barola village in a rented house along with the family since past one year.
