Gururgam: After achieving a major breakthrough in the arrest of dreaded gangster Samapat Nehra, the Haryana Special Task Force has set their sights on the other dreaded gangsters that are operating in and outside the state. Sources in the special police have said that there are over 17 such gangsters which are on STF's radar. A successful coordination network that has been created with states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan has also yielded success. It must be noted that Rajesh Bharati had large number of his criminal activities concentrated in the state of Haryana before he ventured to the national Capital to expand his criminal network.

Gurugram has been one of the most preferred spots for the gangs to operate. Owing to high real estate prices the city was earlier used for land grabs and extortion. Now the paradigm of these gangs have shifted towards drugs trade, carjackings and bumping of the members from the rival gangs.

Once dependent on encounter specialists, the Gurugram Police now wants to play safe in using their services in dealing with the deadly gangs operating in Gurugram. For a long time, the services of the special men trained solely to kill was a strategy adopted for elimination of dangerous gang leaders of Gurugram. However, controversial process involved during encounters, judicial intervention and high costs used for the department for encounter specialists has meant the change in strategy for the Gurugram Police.
