The huge rush for the admission to the Undergraduate courses continues on the second day of registration as the number of applicants who registered online for admission to the Delhi University (DU) swelled to over 81,000 on Thursday.
“Out of 81,524 applicants registered till date, 21,589 made their payments” said Kirti Ranjan, OSD Admissions. The online registration began yesterday with 39,000 application registration on the very first day.
Centralised forms are available on Delhi University’s website- www.du.ac.in and students will have to make their payment through internet banking. The cost of forms for the students of General category is Rs 100 and Rs 50 for the SC/ST students.
Open Day counselling sessions are being conducted to answer admission related queries of parents and students. An animated video has been uploaded to YouTube by DU to give detailed account of the admission process.
A total of 60,000 seats in various undergraduate courses are available. The last date for online registration is June 19 and the first cut-off will be announced on June 27.
This is for the first time that the university has introduced a complete online admission procedure for UG admissions unlike previous years when it used to be both online and offline. On Wednesday the total number of registration stood at 31,000.
