The author Khagesh Dev Burman himself is the recipient of <g data-gr-id="45">Sacin</g> Samman by the govt of Tripura for his book Sachin Kartar Ganer <g data-gr-id="46">Bhuban</g>. Through this book, the author has tried to replete with several personal moments from R D Burman – the maestro’s life.

R D Burman, an unsurpassable name in the history of music, a musical phenomenon that happened to the music industry ages ago, has many exceptional works in this field, to his credit. With being an unpredictable music composer who defied the conventions of his time, a trendsetter who introduced a fusion of Western rock and jazz with Indian classical music, R D had scored music for more than 350 films.

The book, R D Burman: The Prince Of Music, is all about the life and work of the musical prodigy and his epic journey from being a star kid and from succeeding his father to becoming one of the most prominent contributors to the Hindi film industry.

This book outlines Pancham’s affinity with Kishore Kumar, his relationship with Asha Bhosle and his complicated relationship with his father, Sachin Dev Burman. It is the journey to <g data-gr-id="67">success</g> of not only one person but all the other people associated with him. It is a memorabilia.

When we talk about the fusion of western rock and jazz with Indian classical music – it was the <g data-gr-id="43">brain child</g> of R D: the trendsetter.

Khagesh Dev Barman has done all justice with putting forth the different aspects of R D’s life and career. He has not only illustrated the exceptional talent of RD but also the mesmerising song  like <g data-gr-id="48">chand</g> <g data-gr-id="49">mera</g> Dil and Tum aa <g data-gr-id="50">gaye</g> ho. His relationship with many other artists of his era was projected nicely.
