The initiative, that aims at raising awareness around the significance of curbing toxic levels of pollution in the city and to help people identity the importance of bringing little changes that could lead to greater benefits, is an extension of the Clean Air India Movement (CLAIM) launched on 5 May, by Google boy Kautilya Pandit.
CLAIM, launched by planting a tree at Purana Quila, is meant to engage, educate and encourage Indian citizens to adopt air friendly measures in the interests of the country and its children. “Under CLAIM, various activities are undertaken to raise awareness among the people like ‘Spot the Kilvish’ and ‘Make the Red Light Blue’, which proved to be quite effective, but desired outcomes call for sustained efforts and active participation in ongoing initiatives,” says Vijay Kannan, India Head, Blueair.
Commenting on the Blueair cabs Vijay Kannan says: “We want to be part of this positive move and steer people for the same. The idea is to reinforce the belief that simple efforts make a big difference and to lend our support to this highly required initiative.”
