A 28-year-old businessman was shot dead by two men near Nilothi More in West Delhi’s Nihal Vihar on Monday evening. According to the police, Rahul Mittal was heading towards Najafgarh- Nangloi road when two bike-borne assailants came and fired at him.
Senior police officers of the West district alleged that they have identified the accused and arrests will be made soon. Meanwhile, they have not ruled out the possibility of personal enmity as one of the reasons.
The incident took place at around 7:30 pm when Mittal was returning after taking a payment from a retailer. One of the passers-by made a PCR call, after which the local police rushed Mittal to Maharaja Agrasen Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
“A case of murder under relevant sections of the IPC has been registered at the Nihal Vihar police station against unknown persons. Investigation is on,” said a senior police officer.
