Admission process under second cut-off list ends

Delhi University, on Monday had announced the second cut-off list for admission to its undergraduate programmes, with a considerable drop in its percentages, even as some colleges closed the enrollment to popular courses such as B Com and Economics Honours.

In a major shift from previous years, no Delhi University college had kept the cut-off marks at 100 per cent in the first list announced last week. However, the required percentage soared at almost all the colleges.

The students were given three days to take admission under the second list. The next cut-off list is likely to come out on July 10.The first day of admission under the second cut-off list in Delhi University colleges was marked by withdrawals and students shifting to colleges of their choices.

These withdrawals, however, do not mean that the courses whose admissions were closed in the second list will be opened for admissions in the third list. 

Principals of many colleges said that by the end of admissions in this list, more courses will be closed and It will be clear on Wednesday, whether popular colleges will come out with a third cut-off list.

Most of the colleges of South Campus are giving tough competition to the colleges of North-campus as the cut-off for the colleges of South Campus are still high.
