The Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Delhi State Convenor Dilip Pandey on Wednesday wrote a letter to Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi who is planning a candle march on Saturday in Delhi on the issues of electricity and water.
The party said it will welcome Rahul Gandhi to Delhi politics and AAP Leader Dilip Pandey will personally go and welcome Rahul Gandhi at the starting point of their rally.
“We think that it is Rahul Gandhi’s right to restrict himself to the politics at the level of the national
Capital and to concede that Arvind Kejriwal is the only national Opposition to Narendra Modi and BJP’s wrongdoings and incorrect policies. Rahul Gandhi has failed to make his mark in national politics and it is good that there is self realisation of his failure and it is good that he has limited himself to state-level politics,” said Pandey.
Dilip Pandey, through his letter, gave Rahul Gandhi two important points to ponder. Pandey felt that since Rahul Gandhi is so naive, it is important that he should first understand the background of Ajay Makan, who along with Sheila Dikshit was responsible for serious scams in the privatisation of electricity in Delhi. If the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) had not been snatched out of the hands of the Delhi government by Narendra Modi then in all likelihood Sheila Dikshit and Ajay Makan would have been in jail, such was the seriousness of their wrongdoings. “We feel sorry that Ajay Makan is using Rahul Gandhi to cover up his scams which have left legacy problems, hence Dilip Pandey will enlighten Rahul Gandhi and present all the details of their scams when they meet,” read the letter.
The second important point that AAP brought to the notice of Rahul Gandhi through the letter is that situation of electricity and water is terrible in Congress-governed states. Since AAP has done amazing work in solving the electricity and water issues in Delhi, Dilip Pandey, in a gesture of goodwill, has offered to help Rahul Gandhi fight the electricity and water crisis in the Congress-governed states because if the situation in those states are not improved then Rahul Gandhi would probably lose in those states too.
