A 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered at her residence in North-East Delhi’s New Usmanpur area on Tuesday. Delhi Police have detained three persons including the landlord’s son. The incident took place when the victim’s mother went for work. She works as a maid in Daryaganj area. At the time of the incident, the victim was alone in her rented accommodation when she was allegedly raped and later strangled to death. At around 8 pm her mother returned home and found her lying unconscious. According to the police, some locals have seen the landlord’s son wearing a T-shirt with blood stains. A case has been registered at New Usmanpur police station.
