As it was about to leave for Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh, four passengers boarded it with their luggage. After a few minutes, five robbers stepped up into the bus and asked the passengers to hand-over their valuables and cash.
The passengers included two brothers, one of whom had recently returned from Dubai and was going to his residence in Baghpat. The moment Babu Ram, the 26-year-old businessman saw the robbers, he tried to raise an alarm. Then one of the robbers shot at him. They took his luggage and fled.
