‘Youngsters are agents of revolutionary, transformational changes’

The prototype vehicles made by the students was cynosure at the event of the third foundation day of Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), on Thursday. While speaking at the inaugural session, deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said: “Our government is fully aware of the potential of youngsters as agents of revolutionary and transformational changes therefore, committed to take steps for ensuring their active participation in all facets of life.”

Sisodia, who is also holding the Education ministry, unveiled the fuel-efficient car designed and fabricated by students for the Super Mileage Competition that is scheduled to be held in June in Michigan, USA. He took a test ride of the all prototype vehicle. Sisodia said, he was proud to see the achievements of the students of the IGDTUW and encouraged the female students.

AAP leader, Sisodia, also inaugurated the Incubation Centre, Anveshan in IGDTUW and said: “Our government is committed to make Delhi a hub for high quality education which would integrate innovation, entrepreneurship, knowledge and skills with deep social commitment.” It is also our endeavor to involve industry and partner with skill development programmes. Emphasis will be given on creating conducive atmosphere to promote a start-up culture in the Capital.”

“The techno-business incubation centre at IGDTUW will encourage young women entrepreneurs to convert their innovative ideas into successful business ventures,” Prof Nupur Prakash, Vice-Chancellor of the University said.
