While launching all farmers’ empowerment campaign, Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh said that apart from using scientific tools and <g data-gr-id="11">bio-mass</g> energy in agricultural sector, there is need to employ the meditational technique of providing positive vibrations of peace, purity, love and care to soil, seed and plants through raj-yoga meditation for improving farming and farmers’ life.
“The organic yogic <g data-gr-id="14">kheti</g> is need of the hour,” Singh said, adding that such concept and practice of organic yogic farming which has been conceived and developed by the Brahma Kumaris can be a <g data-gr-id="15">cost effective</g> and sustainable way of enhancing soil fertility, quality and quantity of agricultural produce.
Addressing a gathering of over 3,000 farmers, agricultural scientists, administrators and experts from all over India, Singh said that such campaigns combining science and spirituality, would not only provide the much needed awareness and <g data-gr-id="16">knowhow</g> among villagers to fight and finish blind faith, superstitions, addictions and evil practices but would also promote cleanliness, health, hygiene, holistic development and sustainable yogic agriculture in villages.
