Y-shaped stent in trachea saves patient’s life

In a remarkable achievement in medical science, a leading private hospital in Delhi has performed Tracheostomy (incision in <g data-gr-id="11" data-style="color: #3b3b3b; font-size: 11px;">windpipe</g>) by deploying a Y-shaped stent in trachea within <g data-gr-id="12" data-style="color: #3b3b3b; font-size: 11px;">span</g> of few minutes. The procedure has been successfully completed on 53-year-old Reema Saigal, who was suffering from <g data-gr-id="10" data-style="color: #3b3b3b; font-size: 11px;">tracheal</g> tumour. The operation was performed by doctors at BLK Super Speciality Hospital by Dr Sandeep Nayar, a senior consultant, on Friday.
